Daoyin and Yangsheng are two health-keeping practices among the treasures in traditional Chinese medicine. They have been practiced extensively for thousands of years in China to help prevent and cure diseases, anf highly appreciated by the broad people masses.
The autor, professor Zhang Guangde, made a keen study of the classical theories of Chinese Daoyin, Yangsheng and Longevity schools, inherited a family owned exercises for chronic diseases from his maternal grandfather, and thus developed this Daoyin Yangsheng Gong in the years between 1974 and 1976.
Theoretically, these exercises are guided by the theories of traditional Chinese medicine such as the concept of wholism, the theory of diagnosis and treatment based on the differential analysis of symptoms and signs, the ancient theories of Yin and Yang, and the Five Evolutive Phases and Energy Circulation through Channels, and the etiology and pathology of diseases and related studies of modern medicine.
